How The World Works

Grade 1 have been learning a lot about how we move and how we move things. They have created movement dice which tell them to do actions (verbs) such as "freeze", "jump three times", and "walk backwards". We've inquired into terms such as gravity, friction, inertia; and even bounced balls from the third floor down to the piazza space to see how the balls would react.
Our students - Make sure that you learn from the two videos; and in revisewise play "Friction", "Forces in Action" and "Magnets and Springs". We will talk about it at school.

Now we have begun our summative assessment. The photographs and videos capture one day in class as they explored their ideas to make crazy machines, mousetraps or boats.

In our Bahasa Indonesia lesson we are creating a project called "Bahasa Indonesia Digital Story". It took about a month to finish the project. This is one of the examples of the students' work. The students themselves who create the stories, the settings and the characters. They were involved in taking the pictures and recording the stories. Good work grade 1.
Hello grade 1 students. Let's explore Forces and movement.
On this website you will find interactive games to be played.
